A small house on the outskirts of Mumbai went up in smoke on Friday night.
The incident took place on the second day of the Mughal festival.
The building collapsed in flames around 7:30pm.
According to police, the house was being occupied by two families.
Two women and a man were inside when the fire broke out.
The fire department rushed to the spot and put out the fire, but the two women and the man were injured.
They were admitted to the hospital in critical condition.
The house was not the first one to be damaged by the blaze.
The Mughals were famously famed for their tiny houses, built in large numbers around the world.
